This award provides funding to Henderson-Oxford Airport (HNZ) Authority to construct a 12″ water main extension to serve HNZ. The airport is a transportation and economic development asset for Granville County and Vance County and the Kerr-Tar region. The water main is necessary to serve current and future hangars. The fixed base operator at the airport anticipates creation of up to 10 full-time jobs over the next four years related to growth at the airport following completion of the waterline extension, in addition to other growth opportunities. The Airport Authority also believes improvements to the airport will benefit nearby Triangle North Industrial Center. Golden LEAF funds will be used for construction and related costs.
