Description:

The purpose of this Golden LEAF grant is to support building renovation that will result in the development of a Wound Care Center on the campus of Halifax Regional Medical Center. The center will address the critical need associated with an incidence of diabetes in Halifax, Northampton and Warren counties that is 85% above the U.S. average. The project will create 22 new jobs.
