Description:

The purpose of this grant is to provide funding to Halifax Community College (HCC) to upgrade and expand its Industrial Maintenance, Machining and Welding programs to support the workforce needs of industry in the college’s service area. This project will enhance the training capabilities of the college to address the skills gap identified by industry in recent workforce surveys for new and incumbent workers. Golden LEAF funds will be used to purchase training equipment.
