The college has received $60 million in State funding for the project. The new facility and renovation of existing space on the campus will expand the college’s health sciences programs. In the ADN, LPN, and Surgical Tech programs alone, the college expects to increase the number of students earning an academic credential by 40 students annually, and for all of those students to received their required license. The college also expects significant increases in other health sciences programs. The project includes the addition of immersive technology that will provide fully interactive, multisensory virtual learn environments. Golden LEAF funds will be used for the purchase, installation, and commissioning of the equipment for the immersive simulation labs that are not covered by the State funding.
