This award provides funding to Caldwell County to extend sewer infrastructure to the approximately 1,000-acre Foothills Regional Airport Industrial Park. Total sewer infrastructure costs are estimated to exceed $12 million. The county anticipates that development on one available site could create 132 jobs with an average annual wage of $79,300 and nearly $88 million in private investment within five years. Golden LEAF funds will support construction and related costs.
