Description:

Partners in Ministry, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization formed in January 2008 operates a housing rehabilitation program (known as ROAR) in Scotland, Richmond, and Robeson counties. ROAR works with low-income homeowners to repair homes damaged by major disasters. Funding awarded from the NC Hurricane Florence Relief Fund will be used for materials and labor (if needed) for home repair for victims of Hurricane Florence. Partners in Ministry anticipates repairing 5-20 homes across Scotland and Robeson counties. Partners in Ministry has also operated a distribution center following Hurricane Florence. The items available include food, water, clothing, baby items, cleaning supplies, toiletries, and household goods donated by community partners. Grant funds will also be used to supplement donations to serve additional families. Over the past three weeks, distributed supplies have assisted nearly 800 people.
