Description:

With this grant, Burke County Public Schools (BCPS) will train teachers in the NC REAL Entrepreneurship program. BCPS will use the NC REAL curriculum to develop entrepreneurial skills into middle school, high school and community college classes for students enrolled at BCPS, Western Piedmont Community College and other community training organizations. BCPS will also offer a Youth Entrepreneurship Camp for youth ages 10-14 to provide a college-based experience allowing students to learn about starting businesses and exposing them to learning in a college environment.
