Description:

Hurricane Florence caused substantial damage to a town park, including the irrigation system, structures, and the parking lot. The park includes docks, tennis courts, volleyball courts, walking areas and a playground. FEMA estimates include more than $200,000 in damage to the park. Golden LEAF Hurricane Florence Disaster Recovery Grant Program funds will be used for engineering and other professional fees (surveying, construction admin/oversight, bid assistance) to support the project. FEMA Public Assistance and insurance funding will be used for construction expenses.
