Description:

The purpose of this grant is to provide funding to Edgecombe County to construct a landfill gas collection and electricity generation system. The system will generate approximately $1.3 million in net income from electricity sales for the County over its first ten years of operation. The County will place one half of the net income in an economic development reserve fund to be used for other economic development projects.
