Description:

The purpose of this grant is to provide funds to Duplin General Hospital to renovate and expand the Emergency Department (ED) by adding four state-of-the-art exam rooms to create a fast track for low risk acuity patients and one mental health room specially fitted to safely accommodate the increasing number of mental health cases seen at the ED. The Hospital will also expand its current waiting area and make the ED’s entrance clearly and easily accessible. Golden LEAF funds will be used for some construction and equipment costs. The project will create 12 full-time jobs.
