This grant provided funding to Davidson County for the development of a new county-owned industrial park near Interstate 85. Phase 1 of the project involved 431 acres and at full build-out the park was expected to be more than 1,100 acres. The county expected that companies would create 9,000 new full-time jobs at the park once fully developed. At the time of the grant, the park was being considered by three economic development projects that would create, in total, 1,500 jobs and $575 million in private investment. Golden LEAF funds were used for public wastewater infrastructure costs.
