This Golden LEAF grant will support additional work related to Phase I of the 15-acre Crossing at 64 Mixed Use Development on the Edgecombe County side of Rocky Mount. The construction of the 12,000-square-foot Retail Center is scheduled to begin in January 2008. The project will address needs for affordable housing and local access to goods and services for community residents, and is expected to create over 200 jobs.
