Description:

This grant will assist Anson County Schools in providing enhanced learning activities that will help high school students develop the skills needed for success in school and in college or the workplace. The Fast Forward program will be used in three Scientific Learning Labs to improve the basic skills of freshmen and sophomores who are performing below grade level proficiency. Laptop computers will be made available to juniors and seniors to use throughout the day in their career academies. All teachers will also have laptops and training on effective use of technology and “real world” project-based instruction. Students will graduate from school with a Career Readiness Certificate recognized by employers as a job ready credential.
