The City of Wilmington experienced flooding along Clear Run, in the Clear Run watershed, in 2-3” rain events, creating impassable roads. Golden LEAF flood mitigation grant funds were used to install three reinforced concrete box culverts along Mallard Drive to replace existing dual culverts. The project also included water and sewer conflict relocations and reconstruction of the street. Households in the immediate area benefited from this project.
