This grant provided funding to the City of Sanford to construct public infrastructure to support Project Forge, which is Kalyani Group, an Indian auto part manufacturer. The Kalyani Group was expected to open a combined machining and forging facility in Lee County. Golden LEAF funds were used for sewer infrastructure which had a total cost of approximately $4 million.
