This grant provided the City of New Bern with funding to renovate an existing city building to create a one-stop Workforce Development Training Center in collaboration with Craven Community College. The Center houses training programs needed to prepare students for apprenticeship, employment, and entrepreneurship opportunities. Programs include: Electrical-Residential and Commercial Wiring, HVAC Technology, NCCER Construction I & II, Plumbing, and Small Engine Repair. Golden LEAF funds were used for building renovations.
