The purpose of this grant was to provide funding to Caswell County to renovate the Caswell County Public Library and construct a wing on the existing building. The expansion created quiet study rooms, space for additional public computers, capacity for additional classroom space to hold simultaneous programs (including tutoring and career workshops) and installed innovative learning spaces to host Makerspace and STEM programs, benefitting the entire community. Before the completion of this project, the library’s limited space did not allow for user privacy or simultaneous programing.
