The purpose of this grant is to provide funding to Cleveland Vocational Industries to support the expansion of its Green Electronic Asset Recycling program by creating a state of the art electronic recycling center. The Center has contracts with municipalities, businesses, and schools to collect and dismantle electronics, and then resells commodities recovered including copper, metals, plastic and glass. The recycling program began operation last year. The project will support 30+FTE positions in the first year. Golden LEAF funds will be used to purchase equipment for the project.
