This grant provides funding to North Carolina Global Transpark (NCGTP) to support construction of a flight test hangar which is part of an expansion of Fleet Readiness Center East to the NCGTP, where it will locate a facility to service C130 aircraft and military helicopters. The project will create 444 jobs by the end of 2031 paying average annual wages of $72,724 compared to the Lenoir County average of $48,512.
