The central area of the Town of Bolton was flooded by Hurricane Florence. Several months later, sinkholes appeared on 9th Street and 16th Street as a result of compromised stormwater infrastructure. The town worked with FEMA Public Assistance to determine appropriate repairs. Golden LEAF disaster recovery grant funds will be used to reimburse the town for the stormwater and road repairs at the 9th Street and 16th Street locations. FEMA Public Assistance will also be used toward the project.
