The central area of the Town of Bolton was flooded by Hurricane Florence. Several months later, sinkholes appeared on 9th Street and 16th Street due to compromised stormwater infrastructure. The town worked with FEMA Public Assistance to determine appropriate repairs. Golden LEAF Disaster Recovery Grant Program funds were used to reimburse the town for the stormwater and road repairs at the 9th Street and 16th Street locations. FEMA Public Assistance was also used toward the project.
