Bladen County formed a FEMA-designated long-term recovery group. The United Way of Bladen County was involved in the formation of the group. While the group was being formally organized, the United Way used funding awarded from the NC Hurricane Florence Relief Fund to address cases identified and vetted by the unmet needs committee of the long-term recovery group. The funds supported direct assistance to survivors, including utility assistance, home repairs (building materials, labor), and replacement personal property.
