The purpose of this grant is to help the Historical Preservation Group prepare a community-based preservation and management plan for the 1862 Battle of Kinston, one of several heritage tourism projects underway in Lenoir County. Objectives of this project are to hire a Preservation Consultant, perform research and do site visits, conduct community meetings and write and publish the plan.
