This award provides funding to Ashe County to construct an approximately 15,000-square-foot shell building, expandable to 40,000 sf, located on Lot 3 at the Ashe County Industrial Park. The county anticipates that completion of the building would result in $4.13 million in public infrastructure investment, $3 million in private capital investment, and the creation of 30 new jobs with an average annual wage of $42,900. Golden LEAF funds will be used for design, planning, clearing, grading, and erosion control of the site, and construction of the shell building.
