The purpose of this grant is to assist Columbus County with the implementation of strategies created by the Agribusiness Committee to attract agribusiness to the County, specifically food processing companies. The three-year marketing campaign will take advantage of the interest generated by Columbus County’s recent agribusiness initiatives and successes. The marketing campaign is expected to attract at least three food processing operations to Columbus County that will each create 40 jobs and make an investment of $2 million in capital expenditures.
