This award provides funding to Uwharrie Charter Academy (UCA) to expand its Career Academy to include a new advanced manufacturing pathway in response to local business demand. UCA expects that 25 additional students will complete a CTE pathway, 10 will complete dual enrollment courses, and 35 will acquire third-party credentials. Golden LEAF funds will be used for equipment and construction and renovation of the areas of the building that will be used for advanced manufacturing, including common areas in the building.
