In July, the Golden LEAF Foundation welcomed Sydney DeLancey as the External Affairs and Strategic Initiatives Manager.

In her role, DeLancey’s responsibilities include supporting outreach and engagement, events, government relations, and strategic initiatives.
Prior to joining Golden LEAF, DeLancey served as Special Assistant to the CEO at The Results Company, where she supported high-level client engagement, strategic communications, special events, scheduling and internal operations. Her background in public service includes roles with the N.C. Land and Water Fund and as a constituent advocate in the office of U.S. Senator Thom Tillis.
DeLancey, a native of Wilson, earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from N.C. State University. She resides in Wilson with her husband, Justin, and is active in civic organizations including the Junior League of Raleigh and the Junior Women’s Club of Wilson.
