This award provides funding to Metropolitan Community Health Services, Inc. (MCHS), a Federally Qualified Health Clinic that operates in Beaufort, Tyrrell, Hyde, Martin, and Washington counties. MCHS is restoring a former healthcare clinic in Aurora, in Beaufort County, converting a 4,700-square-foot building into a modern medical facility. The building renovation will establish permanent access to primary care, emergency stabilization, diagnostics, and pharmacy support for the community, while creating 25 new, full-time healthcare-related jobs. Golden LEAF funds will be used for costs related to building renovation.
