Description:

This Golden LEAF grant funded North Carolina State University (NCSU) to improve the profitability of the pastured meat industry in North Carolina. Project staff provided workshops, consumer marketing, videos and online materials, and technical assistance to farmers, meat processors, extension educators, and the public. They reached out specifically to eastern North Carolina farmers to engage them in the program. Golden LEAF funds were used primarily for staffing, workshops and technical assistance, and supplies.
