Wind-driven rain during Hurricane Florence resulted in damage to the CarolinaEast Medical Center physician offices, medical center main campus, and the data center. The roofs of these buildings were compromised, resulting in water entering the buildings, damaging walls, and destroying equipment. Golden LEAF Disaster Recovery Grant Program funds reimbursed the hospital for completed repairs and replaced equipment not covered by FEMA.
