More than three feet of water entered a building owned by the Lenoir Community College Foundation in Trenton as a result of Hurrican Florence. The facility was used by enrolled Lenoir Community College students. Golden LEAF Disaster Recovery Grant Program funds were used to support the repair of the building. FEMA Public Assistance was not available for this project, and the building’s flood insurance deductible was greater than the total project cost. The LCC Foundation contributed a portion of the project expenses.
