Flooding from Hurricane Matthew caused the Fair Bluff community to lose a significant number of residential rental units. Fair Bluff worked on a plan with a private developer to construct 32 to 48 affordable housing units outside of the floodplain. This grant enables Fair Bluff to extend water and sewer to serve the new rental complex, utilizing funds from the Golden LEAF Disaster Recovery Grant Program.
