Celia Thiel joined the Golden LEAF Foundation in September 2019. As a Program Officer, she evaluates funding proposals, supports the implementation of Golden LEAF priorities, and provides oversight for project monitoring and compliance activities. She primarily works on state programs including disaster recovery and flood mitigation. Celia uses her skills in process improvement, data analysis, and cross-functional coordination to support effective program implementation and evaluation.
Before joining Golden LEAF, Celia worked as an industrial engineer and project manager in manufacturing and distribution.
A native of Georgia, Celia earned a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. She lives in Rocky Mount with her husband, Mike.
