This Golden LEAF grant will be used to implement STEM learning labs in two middle schools in the Nash-Rocky Mount School District. The STEM labs will consist of a modular curriculum aligned with industry skill requirements, student tracking software, student assessment software, and interactive manipulative content. The modules chosen will represent a cross section of skills and concepts that local employers have identified as necessary for the local workforce and focus on concepts in core courses such as math and science. Golden LEAF funds will be used to furnish the centers and provide curriculum materials, IT hardware, software, and training.
