Briefly describe your role at Golden LEAF.
My job is to provide administrative support to the foundation, particularly in support of External Affairs and Operations. I ensure efficient operation of the office, including booking travel, scheduling meetings, event planning, and managing supply inventory.

Describe yourself in three words.
Positive. Genuine. Creative.

What’s your favorite part of your job and why?
My favorite part of the job is definitely working with such a fantastic group of people. From day one, they have made me feel like part of the team.

What is your favorite pastime outside of work?
Music is my favorite pastime outside of work. I enjoy playing piano and singing, and I am the worship leader at my church in Wilson.

What is your biggest work-related accomplishment within the last year?
Planning and carrying out successful board meetings held at the office and sometimes offsite are my biggest work accomplishments. I plan the catering, reserve the hotel rooms, and make sure everything is prepared for a productive meeting.

What motivates you to support long-term economic development in rural, tobacco-dependent, and economically distressed communities?
I grew up in Wilson, a very tobacco dependent area, where I have witnessed the need that exists across eastern North Carolina. I have loved being a part of an organization that is dedicated to helping people in need and stimulating the economy across our state. It makes coming to work a pleasure knowing that we are giving back to our state.
