Briefly describe your role at Golden LEAF.
As a Director of Programs, I support Golden LEAF’s funding opportunities and special initiatives. I focus on the job creation and economic investment priority, specifically through public infrastructure projects.

Analytical, detailed, yet approachable.
What’s your favorite part of your job and why?
For me it has been meeting new people. I’ve met a lot of new people through Golden LEAF. I have enjoyed getting to know the staff, grantees, applicants, as well people in the economic development industry. Traveling to and engaging with our funding recipients’ local communities has been the best part of the job.
What is your favorite pastime outside of work?
Beyond serving the community, I enjoy spending time and fellowshipping with family.
What is your biggest work-related accomplishment within the last year?
I would say learning about the economic development community and understanding how to engage with the needs of our applicants.
What motivates you to support long-term economic development in rural, tobacco-dependent, and economically distressed communities?
Being a North Carolina native, it’s a motivation for me to see North Carolinians continue to thrive. It’s exciting to see how North Carolina has grown as a state.
