Golden LEAF welcomes new Director of Programs

On July 18, 2022, the Golden LEAF Foundation welcomed Angela Watkins Gailliard as a new Director of Programs.

“We are excited for Angela to join the team to help carry out the mission of Golden LEAF,” said Scott T. Hamilton, Golden LEAF President, Chief Executive Officer. “Angela’s skills and expertise will help support Golden LEAF’s public infrastructure-related economic development programs.”

The new Director of Programs position will focus on public infrastructure projects that support economic development, including water, sewer, stormwater, and road infrastructure.

Before joining the Foundation, Gailliard served as the Chief Corporate Officer of Word Tabernacle Church at The Impact Center in Rocky Mount, N.C., with responsibility for administrative, business, financial, and facility operations. Prior to Word Tabernacle Church, she held leadership positions in operations, finance, and engineering at several large corporations including Procter & Gamble and Cummins, Inc.

In addition to her many years of corporate work experience, Gailliard has continually served in her community for over thirty years, holding leadership roles with many notable nonprofit organizations including United Way Tar River Region, Edgecombe Community College Foundation, North Carolina Community Foundation, Down East Partnership for Children, and Big Brothers Big Sisters.

Gailliard holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Duke University and a Master of Business Administration from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University. She is also a graduate of Leadership North Carolina.
