The purpose of this Golden LEAF grant is to assist with public infrastructure improvements necessary for the creation of 400+ jobs in Bertie County. Golden LEAF funds will enable the County and Town to locate in the Windsor area a 1,000-cell close security prison that will be operated by the North Carolina Department of Corrections.
