The United Way of Wayne County collaborated with local partners to provide assistance to survivors of Hurricane Florence. Through an open application process, United Way of Wayne County assessed the unmet needs identified by partner organizations. Partner organizations included Salvation Army of Wayne County, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, the Baptist Men of North Carolina, and Habitat for Humanity of Wayne County. Funding awarded from the NC Hurricane Florence Relief Fund was used to help with eligible projects including relocation expenses, emergency assistance, and rebuilding for members of the community.
