Description:

This award provides funding to Tri-County Community College to establish a medical sonography program that will provide opportunities for students to learn technical skills that are in high demand by local healthcare employers primarily across Cherokee, Clay, and Graham counties. Golden LEAF funds will be used to construct an educational lab and simulation space at the existing Allied Health facility on Tri-County Community College’s main campus, and to purchase sonography training equipment and supplies.
