This award provided funding to Central Carolina Community College (CCCC) to support a regional truck driving and logistics program (Transportation Regional Career Kickstart- TRuCK). TRuCK was created in consortium with Sandhills Community College and Randolph Community College and provides CDL and short-term logistics courses with transportation and logistics credentials. TRuCK provides multiple CDL courses per year, per partner location, with at least 10 seats per course, serving a minimum of 60 students per year, with at least 50 earning credentials, and estimates that 95% of the credentialed students are hired within 12 months. Golden LEAF funds were used for trucks and trailers and training equipment and supplies.
