Description:

The purpose of this grant is to support Yancey County with extending water infrastructure to the Yancey County Commercial Park in Burnsville. The extension of the water line will make the commercial property marketable to new business and industry. Local officials have identified a private sector employer for the site contingent on the water line extension, and are fielding inquiries from other potential occupants. Golden LEAF funds will be used for infrastructure extension.
