Description:

The purpose of this grant is to provide funding to Isothermal Community College to support improved workforce training and develop career pathways in advanced industrial technologies and agribusiness. The project will equip training bays and construct an agribusiness clinical site on campus to benefit community college students, FFA members, and incumbent manufacturing workers. Golden LEAF funds will be used for equipment, construction costs, personnel, and travel expenses. The US Economic Development Administration, Rutherford County and the Appalachian Regional Commission have awarded funds to construct a new facility where these program will be located.
