This grant provided funding to Union Square Campus to purchase simulation equipment for a state-of-the-art health sciences education building where nurses can perfect clinical skills on life-like simulated patients. The University of North Carolina-Greensboro (UNCG), North Carolina A&T State University, and Cone Health lease space in the building, and Guilford Technical Community College maintains the simulation equipment. Clinical sites in Rockingham County and other rural sites, serve as clinical training facilities for students. Nursing students at all degree levels, in-service nurses, and other health care practitioners are trained at the facility each year.
