Hurricane Matthew destroyed a city-owned dock. To comply with State and Federal regulations and to improve safety and accessibility, the City of Southport proposes to build a smaller floating dock system rather than a fixed pier. The replacement dock system will include up to twenty boat slips. FEMA awarded $98,454 for the project. Golden LEAF Hurricane Matthew Disaster Recovery grant funds will be used to complete the project.
