Flooding as a result of Hurricane Matthew inundated and impeded access to the Seven Springs Community Volunteer Fire Department, currently located in the flood zone. The Fire Department has applied for a buyout and acquired land outside of the floodplain. Golden LEAF Disaster Recovery Grant Program funding will support construction of a new station.
