Prior to Hurricane Florence, Rowland’s library experienced some damage from water entering the building because of inadequate drainage and the age of the exterior. These issues worsened significantly as a result of Hurricane Florence. Since Hurricane Florence, the town repaired damage to walls and flooring, improved exterior drainage, remediated mold, and replaced shelving. Golden LEAF Hurricane Florence Disaster Recovery Grant Program funds will be used to reimburse the town for costs to repair damage caused by Hurricane Florence. The Town of Rowland will support the remaining project cost.
Any project more than a couple of years old may not reflect current Board priorities.
