Description:

This award provides funding to Stanly County to extend and improve the access road off Brown’s Hill Road into Riverstone Industrial Park, Stanly County’s only county-owned park. The new road, which will be built to DOT standards, will provide access to a tract in the park on which American Racing Headers will locate a new facility. American Racing Headers will create 63 new jobs paying an average annual wage of $52,552 compared to the county average of $35,420, and make a capital investment of $4.375 million. The road extension will also improve access to other parcels within the park.
