Description:

Hurricane Florence caused extensive damage to three buildings of St. Philip’s Episcopal Church. The church campus is located one block from Southport’s historic waterfront directly across the street from the Maritime Museum. Wind, rain, and flooding resulted in damage to the roof, bell tower, and interior of the historic chapel. Golden LEAF Hurricane Florence Disaster Recovery grant funds will be used for the repairs of the historic chapel. Insurance proceeds will be used to complete the project.
