Description:

Flooding from Hurricane Matthew destroyed the station owned and operated by the Fair Bluff Fire Department and Rescue Squad, which serves Fair Bluff and surrounding areas of Columbus County. FEMA funding and insurance proceeds are not sufficient to replace the station. This Golden LEAF grant will support design, engineering, and construction of a new station on donated land located outside of the floodplain.
